My wife and I stayed 3 nights over the Xmas period and this hotel has so much going for it. Excellent location both for the city centre and access to the A46 ring road. There is chargeable car parking but be aware that this can quickly fill if there is a function or similar at the hotel. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Service staff quickly assisted with our luggage and the two flights of stairs and our rooms have always been warm. Sitting in the lounge with coffee with a fabulous view of the Cathedral and the busy city going by is a real pleasure. The main problem is that the hotel is tired and desperately needs refurbishment. The reception is cold and unwelcoming, the lift hasn't worked for months, the room decoration and furniture is so dowdy and having sampled three different rooms over the last 6 months or so the en suite can vary from just acceptable to very shabby. Having said all of that we will no doubt stay there again, the pros far outweigh the cons.
Staff are nice rooms are comfy and warm the coffee was really good, but having to pay to park at the hotel you are staying in is taking the micky.
Lovely staff.. Very welcoming.. I was meeting friends to sort out the photographic arrangements for their wedding. Wedding reception area is nice a spacious and looked very clean and organised. The hall for the ceremony is lovely and well thought out with a nice neutral tone to the decor. Outside is a nice garden area but it is rather bare.. I think it could do with some statement pots and flowers just to cheer it up. Other than that it's a nice place close to all uphill Lincoln amenities including the beautiful Lincoln Cathedral just a very short walk away.
Me and my husband Luke had our wedding here on Friday 7th of November, we both had such an amazing day and the day was so chill plus went so smoothly. The staff really looked after us and made sure we were ok throughout the day. From the beginning of planning our wedding with them , they were amazing getting back to us and it was the perfect venue for our wedding
A lovely hotel with polite and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and spacious enough to sit around in. The dinner menu wasn't to my taste and in my view could do with some simpler options on the menu, but what I did have was very nice. The breakfast buffet was awesome. The only real down point was that the lift was out of order for renovation. Would highly recommend this hotel.
The Lincoln cathedral can be seen with the hotel room and the dining table. 7/5 star for the location, a lot of things to explore. The hotel is on top of the hill and the surrounding has a lot of things to explore. Room was not that great of a 4 star hotel, they were fine.
Excellent stay the room was lovely. Amazing view of the cathedral. Buffet breakfast was very nice and great choice of food.It was clean, warm and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here again soon.
Hotel staff were amazing. I cannot fault them one bit. Very helpful and nothing is too much for them. The only thing that let the stay down was the breakfast. It is not the best of quality or great options. Not worth what you pay. However the food for dinner completely different very good.
